On Sunday 10th April 11am-4.00pm we will be attending the Wedding Fair at "The Three Tuns" Bransgore.

The event is free so pop along and have a look and maybe a drink at this beautiful country venue. There is a Hog Roast and a large garden available for a pleasant lunch.

The traditional barn is available to hire for anniversaries, birthdays or any other occasion you may like to celebrate.

They have a full range of catering available, including barbecues, hog roasts and buffets. There is an outdoor seating area with umbrellas, and a marquee is also available for hire. They have a full events licence and a bar area inside the barn.

They can personalise the event to suit your special occasion and will ensure that you and your guests have a memorable time.

Silk Flower Bouquets and Accessories

Following several requests I have decided to add bouquets, accessories and arrangements made with silk or artificial flowers.

The range of colours and flower varieties available is amazing, and I carefully select each flower from a number different suppliers.

The flowers are wired and taped individually using traditional florist methods, Are light to carry, robust and easily manipulated into shape.

I like to use flowers that look real in colour and size as they photograph well and it is often difficult to tell the difference between them and real flowers.

I love a natural cottage garden look though there are also some wonderful fantasy flowers that are fun for a quirky modern style.

I have started listing in my Etsy shop etsy.com/shop/gildthelilyuk or there is a link at the top of the blog.

Custom orders are always welcome and I would be delighted to quote for all of your wedding requirements. I can add Pearls, Crystals, Beaded Flowers anything to make your design unique and a reflection of you.

Rochelle Hawksley from fondant-dreams.co.uk creates beautiful wedding cakes that are as delicious to eat as they are delightful to look at. Each one is a work of art

I met Rochelle at the wedding fair at The Crown in Blandford on the weekend and she is passionate about her craft.

Rochelle specialises in making flowers and floral sprays from sugar paste. As you can see from the photos I took at the wedding fair the flowers are fantastically realistic.

They take Rochelle a long time to make, something I can appreciate making beaded flowers myself, and can be kept in a box or cabinet as a memento of the day or perhaps re-used on a christening cake.

I recently re-discovered some photo's of one of my brides and thought I would share them with you and the touching email she sent to me after the ceremony.
What a stunning setting for Kara and Mike's wedding.
It is lovely when the bride sends you photo's of the wedding. Kara had chosen to wear a beautiful vintage lace wedding dress which was perfect for her. It is wonderful to see the pieces I have designed and made adding those finishing touches.

I hope you're well, I purchased a bouquet from yourself

a few months ago. First of all let me tell you about the

massive smile on my face as I took out the bouquet

from it's box. It was everything I'd hoped for, and then

I realised you'd included the hair piece and band with

extra beads as well.

I can't thank enough for what you produced they were

beautiful, and thank you so much for the card too. I've

attached some pictures as you asked. As you can see the

bouquet colours, fabrics etc were a fantastic match.

I made Kara a headpiece to compliment the style of her dress and bouquet.

Kara had sent me fabric samples and embroidery threads of the colours she liked and I was able to translate them into the finished design.
